The Centre for Cybersecurity Belgium (CCB) was created by royal decree. The CCB started operations in August 2015. The tasks assigned to it by royal decree are both ambitious and varied: as a national authority, the CCB is required to supervise and coordinate Belgian policy in this area and also oversee its implementation. In addition, its role will be to manage various cybersecurity projects using an integrated and centralised approach and to act as coordinator between the departments and bodies concerned, the public authorities, the private sector and scientists. The Centre for Cybersecurity Belgium (CCB) was created by royal decree.
